Worship Services
We have two services on Sunday mornings (9:00 and 10:30 am), and one service on Saturday evenings (5:30 pm). For a description of each, click here. In worship we praise God for all he has done through Jesus Christ. During the service there will be music (lyrics will be projected on a large screen), a confession time (to ask God for forgiveness for our shortcomings), a Scripture reading, and a sermon with practical teaching. There is an offering taken during the service, where church members can give their gifts to Jesus. If you are visiting with us, we do not expect you to participate in the offering. We're just glad that you're with us!
Questions?
When you enter the main entrance you will be greeted by someone who can direct you to the information booth, where they will be delighted to answer any questions you have or show you where various programs and activities are taking place.
Nursery
We offer free professional childcare during all of our worship services. Check in at the nursery counter (through the doors on your left). You will be given a pager, so that you can be contacted if the need arises.
Children's Ministry
We place a high value on children at Shepherd of the Valley. Our ministry to kids and their families is Biblically-based, relational, and creative. Children's programs are available for kids from age 3 to grade 6. We use an intentional security procedure (using name badges and receipts) to ensure the safety of every child. Our children's ministry team would love to talk with you about getting involved with children's ministry at Shepherd. Find out more.
Youth Ministry
Shepherd's Youth Ministry is committed to helping kids in grades 7 through 12 grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. Shepherd's confirmation program begins in grade 7. There are many retreats, events, and small groups offered for both junior and senior high students. Find out more: Junior Youth - Senior Youth.
Small Groups
Small groups are a great place to find community, build relationships, and grow deeper in your walk with Jesus. Groups meet almost every day of the week at various times and in various places. We would love to help you find a group that is right for you! Find out more.
Serving
There are many great ways to serve at Shepherd, both in the church and out in the community and world. From "Servefest"; on Saturdays, to window washing, to helping with special needs kids, to working with Habitat for Humanity, to short term mission trips - we place a high value on serving at Shepherd. We would love to talk with you about where you can best use your gifts and talents to serve God in the world! To learn more about our service opportunities click here.
