Small Groups
Jesus lived his life surrounded by a small group of close friends with whom he ministered, ate, rested, and socialized. We want to follow His example.
Getting involved at Shepherd of the Valley means belonging to a small group. In a group, you'll find real Christian community and lasting friendships, as well as the opportunity to deepen your relationship with Jesus. Groups help our large family feel a bit more like a small church. They provide an opportunity to be known, loved, and accepted, as well as an opportunity to grow in faith.
Small groups meet in homes, at church, or in restaurants. Most small group meetings involve reading God's Word and applying it to your life. Prayer and fellowship are also important. No experience or Bible knowledge is necessary. The variety of groups accommodate varying needs, schedules and life stages. Danger: spiritual growth likely!
