Christie Cotner

Background

Christie was born in Minneapolis and lived in Bloomington as a child. She was active in her church, Transfiguration Lutheran, as a child, youth, and young adult. She has always had a close relationship with Jesus.  Christie is married to Rick and they have three children, Sarah, Jacob, and Emma. The Cotner family joined Shepherd in 1987.  As a member, Christie was an active volunteer in the Children's Ministry.  She joined the staff as Director of Children's Ministry in September, 1993.

Education

Christie attended Normandale Community College and St. Olaf College.  She graduated from St. Cloud State University with a major in Elementary Education and minors in Music and Psychology.

Work Experience

After college Christie worked for a management consulting firm.  After her children were born, she became a stay-at-home mom. During this time she volunteered in various segments of children's ministry.
