Kim Hanson

Background

Kim is married to Phil and they have two children, Nathan and Lisa. She enjoys the balance of working with teens while parenting teens. In her spare time she likes to quilt (ask her kids and they'll say "a little too much"). She also enjoys any activity that gets her outdoors and into God's marvelous creation. The Hansons spent 5 1/2 years in Germany on a foreign service assignment for Phil. They returned to Minnesota in 1998 and joined Shepherd of the Valley at that time. Kim and Phil lead a weekly small group, considering this an essential piece in their faith walk.

Education

Kim has a BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of North Dakota.  She has post graduate training in Exercise Physiology and in Massage Therapy. 

Work Experience

Kim has been on staff, part-time, in Youth Ministry at Shepherd since 2001. In 2006 she assumed the role of Office Manager.  Prior to becoming a "mom" she worked as an occupational therapist for 9 years in a variety of mental health and physical rehabilitation settings.
