Background

Steve grew up in Livingston, Montana where his father, Earl,  still lives.   He with his wife Julie and children Sam and Martha now make their home in Lakeland.   Steve's major interests are baseball and music.

Steve's passion is "personal evangelism and preaching the Good News!"

Education

Steve attended Luther College and graduated with a BA in History. He also attended Luther Seminary in St. Paul and graduated from there with an Masters of Divinity degree.

Work Experience

Steve completed his internship in Hermosa and Hot Springs, South Dakota.  In 1980 he joined Central Lutheran in Winona as Youth Pastor.  In 1983 He became Associate Pastor at Central Lutheran in charge of Worship, Education, and Evangelism.

Steve accepted the call to Shepherd of the Valley in the Fall of 1986 where he is the senior pastor.

To lead people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through preaching, personal witnessing, and training that they might reach others for Christ.
